why would you post the same pictures in different threads twice... within an hour of each other?

I think it's generally tough to pull of shots where the backgrounds are brighter then your subject - your subject has to be doing something unique enough to pull away attention from that beautiful background. So during shoots like this(when shooting against the sun in a beautiful location) I tend kill some of the ambient behind the subject and only have it act as a compliment(that's one way of many). Subjects can't blend in with the surroundings or else the composition becomes flat - this applies from lighting, to posing, to expression etc etc.

Nonetheless good effort. I know your model was working hard because I know that water is pretty darn cold.

The control of the flash power still need to be improved and composition as well. The flash light on the subject must be soft enough but brighter than the background to attract the attention from viewer on the subject. you can try again..
