I like both of these. The first one looks a bit dark to me, but it could be this laptop monitor.

The first one doesn't work for me at all. The only thing that's in focus is the clock, so I'm supposing it's the picture's subject. However, it's off to the side and blends in too much with its background for that to be the case.

It would be a nice picture if it had enough DOF to keep everything in focus.
