Wow that wing detail is great, and without the crop you wouldn't really of payed attention to it at a glance.

It is not the world's best lens.. but if I could only have one lens? It would be really hard to choose between this and the 70-200! It does many things well... and I still think it is a great lens for a beginner... because it won't hold them back!

You have no clue! Its in my nature to want to upgrade things or make them better. Computers, cars and now camera's. At least with camera's I can get better pictures by techniques and knowledge, which are free.
