Big Box Mart

:biglaugh: How timely! I popped in here while taking a break from answering this essay question for my marketing class:

Today's shopping districts are full of big name neon chain stores. Gone are the mom and pop local businesses. Thinking from a channel of distribution perspective, has the proliferation of superstores and category killers really improved consumer selection or have these stores homogenized and limited the choices for consumers to stacked to the ceiling with the same goods no matter what the store name illuminates on the side of the building? How have they also affected manufacturers and suppliers?

I posted the link for the rest of my class to see.
