Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
these were the best of the series but imo they didn't turn out quite so well:

1. yeah i know this one's centered and does not really utilize the rule of thirds, but c'mon, give me a break, it's hard to get a good composition while he's flying away :(

2. this one has a lot of lost detail due to cropping

thanks for looking

It is sooo difficult to capture these little things. If you're interested, you might enjoy my little "Bird Saga" here on TPF in 4 parts from back in 2007?

And then there was this friendly little chaffinch who became quite tame in May of 2008:

You might enjoy those. Maybe.

Songbirds are really tough to capture well without long glass. Pro bird photographers often use things like the Canon 500 f/4 or 600 f/4 WITH 1.4 or 2X Teleconverters.

That said, these are a good attempt. Unfortunately, they are still lost in your frame. If you want to go for songbirds, I would also recommend some sort of blind near a feeder.

make sure you use the center focus on the af system to get the birds in focus. also crop if you haven't yet
