Budget Mid range f/2.8

I second the older Nikkor 35-70mm f2.8. The Tokina is very sharp at f4 but below that its pretty soft.

I have had mine for a couple of weeks now and I like it. Just watch your fingers lol!

Loving my 35-70 2.8 af just Got it a couple of days ago in like new condition it's the best lens I have ever owned its fast quality built like a tank I thought the push pull I wouldn't like but I love it!! It's not annoying all I can say its color is nice and sharp if u want a tele get the 70-210 f4 I opt on all those lenses cuz I can't afford the top dogs!! (24-70 & 70-200 f2.8) I would never go back to third party lenses sold all of mine and I'm happy with 35-70 just don't shoot against the sun! Overall it's cheap and effective!

I worked slowly and built up my kit. Glass is def more important than body I finally got my 14-24 2.8 with my tax return this year I am happy with what I have now.... But there is always something on my wishlist
