I don't get much chance to use my extension tubes, but this guy was hanging out on the side of my house and let me take some pictures of him. I started out a good distance away so not to scare him off, but I think there was something wrong with him. When I took this picture, my lens was only about 1" away from him. Let me know what you think.

So is this what tube extensions do- get you super zoomed in shots? I've been pushing them off and recently bought some close up filters, which gives me about an area of .000000001 mm of focus

The extension tubes are a cheap way to do macro shots but the focusing area is still very small. That's just the nature of macro.
