Buying a lens (Tamron 200-500mm)

Sooo recently I sold my 17-40mm canon lens (which I did not use) to buy a new lens. I've been looking at a few lenses and I saw this Tamron 200-500mm which looks pretty cool. I more into wildlife photography so this would be pretty useful. What I need is some opinions about it cause I don't know much about photography. I'll be using it with a canon 5d mark III.

It depends on how much you can get it for.
It's a pretty good lens, if you can get it for under $500

I would also recommend getting the newer Tamron or Sigma 150-600, (IS, much sharper, etc.)
it will cost more but's it's worth it. Or look at a used 100-400
