the bars in your first photo draws my attention more than the person. but i see what you were looking for, maybe try a differnt crop? and possibly boost the contrast ( just a suggestion/oppinion. )

number 2 is a nice candid shot but where did his arms go?

I agree on the Contrast, I just cannot find the disk that the raw file is on, actually that was a crop from a larger photo. I had tried several different crops but could not find one that I really liked, when I find the disk I will post the full shot; maybe tomorrow. As for the second one, yeah the arms or lack there of, is a bit bothersome, but that was how I framed it, I guess I just need to think about composition a bit more.
