As a noob, the only advice I'm going to give is:
in the 1st one, it seems a bit tilted, plus the reflection of the light (especially on the left) is very distracting.

and i fully agree.
i don't know how to fix the glare in the upper left...further, i'm not sure if the glare on the right(behind the subject) is too distracting as well.
my own critique:
1st, its obviously tilted. easy fix i'm sure, just have to figure out photoshop.
2nd, the distracting glare behind
3rd, it has good contrast(glare notwithstanding)
4th, something about that spiral that i feel lends itself well to the photo
5th, may seem uninteresting...i'm a noob. i take photos of EVERYTHING! lol
and the second photo:
1st, the top left of the glass is lost in the glare..is the proper lingo 'blown out'?
2nd, its a bit off-centered
3rd, its a bit too centered, lol...i'm a noob
