i dunno..... lol
Rules are meant for breaking!!
Well, like I said...I took a lot because the house that was on the reserve is old and had this barn, a well and a couple sheds, and they were all sinking or leaning, there was a birdhouse in the back that was on a pole and I took pics of that too, but the damned thing was leaning so bad I couldn't do anything to make it right...but even through all these weird things I found the house and barn pleasing to look at, reminded me of one of those things you would find on Americana or Country craft type of pics...kwim?
But yes...you are right, I am still learning, and I'm enjoying every minute of it...with that said, when I wake up, I'll take my adderall and get back to the DSLR and Photoshop cs2 for DUMMIES book and hope to retain the info.

The biggest problems I see are all of your shots are cropped to tight. you loose the sense of what you liked about the area. need some sky and ground around the buildings to add interest, the setting is part of what makes em rustic
I like that!I think what was meant was you need some more landscape for the eye to look at as well. I would have shot it with the sky/landscape and then the barn in the right part of the frame. In other words...back up even more!
and use the rule of thirds...don't put the barn smack-dab in the middle of the frame!
Here's an example, there are issues with this shot as well,(it's too soft, etc.) but I just grabbed the closest barn shot I could to show you what I meant by composition and having more landscape. In this instance, I couldn't back up anymore, so I didn't shoot the whole barn but made sure I had lots of landscape for the eye to look at as well...

chito and jeweler leave me the **** alone. wtf is your problem????? your actually bullying me and arent you a moderator BJ?? I've been nothing but ****ing nice to EVERYONE and i was only using what i had in that image, the image is too tightly cropped to get anything better out of it, i was just ****ing around with it and as i said, i wanted to give it something OTT. **** OFF.
he's no idea what i've been through in my life to make me grow and how it's inspired my work. 6 years of intense education has taught me everything you guys talk about in this forum and more so how am i inferior?
The only thing that's different is my training has been focused mainly on analogue cameras up until now when ive started showing an interest in digital which uses entirely different methods but as far as this particular thread is concerned, he shouldn't have been judging that.
