Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
Hey all, im extremely new to photography and currently don't own a tripod, but ive been shooting some random photos at night around campus, and could use some advice/critique!

All kinds of criticism welcome!

I don't know how to use photoshop well, but im fidgeting with it currently to learn some stuff.

Welcome to the phorum!

If these are among your first night shots, then it's a great start. Exposure is good but, to be honest, they are a little boring. There's no point of interest in any of them.
#2 is the best of these 3.

If you're gonna shoot cityscapes or buildings, try to find interesting ones... try different perspectives... I don't know, try to express a message with the composition of your picture.

There's a great book that helped me a lot to improve my compositions. It's called 'Learning to See Creatively' by Bryan Peterson. I totally recommend it.
It will definitely change the way you 'see'.

2 could potentially be a cool hdr shot... I'd try during sunset or sunrise if you gave HDR a try at that place.

Cool thanks guys! I know i definitely need to work on the artistic/focus point and actually make my photos interesting :/

Any other thoughts or any suggestions on how to go about creating more interesting shots?

--and ill definitely check out that book after i finish all my classes for this week. Sounds like it would be a great help!
