Yes, the zoom is terrible, mine is 4x and if you soom even 1x then the image will turn blurry, so I rely on manually moving closer or far away. I know how to work the camera, but it would be way way easier if I could change the settings and know exactly what is being changed. Right now I take the best pictures in cuisine mode, wich is very strange, but it makes the colors stand out in a way that most settings dont.

lol Better zoom then me. Moving closer works great for most of the time but try using 3.3x Optical in a Pep Rally or a football game, then you realize how bad it sucks. Not to mention I have issues with foucusing in Macromode when I use zoom.

As for the color issue, have you tried using an image editor like photoshop to help?

Oh I know how you feel. I want to take pictures of my brothers soccer game and that is basically impossible. I dont have zoom on macro mode at all, or flash, so yah it sucks. I do what I can though and I use a lot of PP to fix the under/over exposed pictures and enhance the colors.
