C&C: Welcome to Norway

[Compaq]

Here's a short set of "Uskedalen" where I live. Its mountains are gorgeous, and I could shoot in the following valley for hours and hours!!

Here's an overview of the valley from where the I cut off the main road and start heading in the valley (iphone):

Here are some shots. I have more, but have not processed them yet. Some may be a little too white. It should be said that the clouds hung low, and that it was snowing... What do you think?

I like #1 but the frame is a bit distracting. I can imagine the area is great but the weather wasn't ideal for taking awesome pictures.

#1 works really well with the sun on the left, calms down the white a little bit. I would get rid of the border though. But I really like it!

#1 is incredible! there isn't much contrast in the rest of them and it makes it hard to see the mountain(you're right, too white?).

Lack of contrast, yes. That I've adjusted. The first turned out pretty well, if I'm allowed to admit that.

About ##2-4, how's the composition? The sharpness? Does it work?

haha! I've really thought about how old our mountains are, tbh. I suppose the valleys were formed in the last ice age, and before that the mountains were pretty well protected under the ice? I'm just guessing, I have no knowledge of geology..

Here are some more. I sort of like the one with the stream, going from warm to cold, with the mountain disappearing in the clouds. Maybe that's just me, though...
