Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Hi, I'm quite new to photography, I've only had my camera for about a month now. I love it, it's something I will be doing for years to come, hopefully even one day at a professional standard or at least making some money from it. Anyway I think at this stage some criticism from people who know what they are doing would be fantastic. Here are my shots anyway, I chose 3 of what I think are my strongest, there's no theme amongst the 3. See what you think:

1
From the Bridge Down... by FishSticks., on Flickr

2
A storms a brewin' by FishSticks., on Flickr

3
zorki-4 by FishSticks., on Flickr

Tear me to shreds, do what ever to set me on the right tracks to photograpgy :)

The main issue I see with all three images is exposure; each is significantly under-exposed. There's no EXIF data with your images, but I'm going to assume you shot in either Auto/Program or one of the 'scene' modes. May I suggest reading some of the tutorials here for a better understanding of your camera's meter "sees" light?

With the 2 still life shots the overall feel I wanted was a dark and heavy feel. I think all of my shots are under exposed, in fear of losing detail if I over-expose, and also because I prefer images like that. I shoot in manual, I find I learn loads more doing it that way instead of just sticking it in auto. Might as well have got a point and shoot camera for that. I agree with the second image being underexposed, I wanted both the foreground and background with rich colours, but found it impossible even after playing about with different exposures and metering. I'll take a look at that link and cheers for the advice :)

Edit: That link is fantastic, thanks for sharing. I'll definately try and take the second photo again with this all in mind, after looking at it the silhouette is quite ugly.
