Cactus V4 not triggering AB800?

Making this one quick! So i got another AB800 and another cactus v4 for it. Went to radioshack and got a male to male 3.5mm mono cord to connect the two. But! It will not fire..the receiver is blinking so i know that the transmitter is working, and also now my other bee wont fire. So put fresh batteries in everything and still no luck. What am i doing wrong? Any help would be much appreciated!

Fires my canon and yungono just fine, and it wont work with my older bee either. Which i find the most intresting because it worked fine a month ago.

I don't know what type battery the transmitter uses, but if it's a watch type (pancake) make sure the positive (+) is facing the right way.
