So i have a budget of basically anything under $300. The Camera i have now is a (tottaly automatic) Olympus fe-280. It's great for taking photos of my life but nothing professional.

Any recommendations on a 'decent' camera that would allow me to mess around with settings. I'm most likely going to buy used unless theres a older camera that would be under 250 that catches my eye.

Any camera's i should keep my eye out for?

What do you want this camera for? What sort of pictures do you want to take? $300 is not a huge budget, but, if you're thorough, it could get you into something like Nikon D70.

You could get a good point and shoot for that price, but an older used entry level DSLR will cost all of $500.

You can pick up a d40 for around that price.

An interest bearing savings account, While that is building interest, and you are contributing, research what it is you want based on your needs and save up for it.

Buy once cry once. Few things in life sting worse than a serious case of the "wish I woulda got "X" instead"s.

Ask me how I know, and why I no longer have the first DSLR I bought. ;)
