can i see the lens focal length in the viewfinder or the lcd display

Just ordered the 28-300mm for my D610, my question is if i want to set my lens for taking portraits at 85mm , the lens barrel only show 70-105mm markings so can i see the focal length in the viewfinder or lcd display.

I would love this feature too. I've always thought how it would be handy to know the focal length during instead of afterwards in EXIF data.

youll be pretty close if you put it halfway between those marks.
