Canon lense compatibility

would the lenses from my XT (28-55 & 70-300) work on say a canon T2 or K2

Both of those lenses should work, assuming they are what I think they are.

It would help (to make sure) if you would list the entire lens model number.

Generally where you get into trouble are the lenses that are wider than 28 (18's, etc.) which are made specifically for cropped sensors.

As long as they are not EF-S lenses you will be just fine, assuming they are Canon brand.

That's correct. EF lenses will work on any EOS camera...film or digital. EF-S lenses will only work on a handful of digital bodies.
