CC, a path and textures

I've just decided to try and learn layering with textures. I figure it's worth knowing how to do; I think it can look pretty interesting sometimes. Maybe not with this photo.... but that's why I'm asking about it. Here is the one I've kept.

Oh, and sorry about it being another path... I literally cannot pass a path/road that I might want to walk down without taking a picture of it. It's kind of a problem. :er:

If you like to shoot pathways, you must visit the Natchez Trace. Shoot some of the sunken parts of it.

Yeah, maybe when I'm old enough to rent a car. I love stuff like that. I've done the 17 Mile Drive in California a few times (though it was never me driving), and even though it's short it's still spectacular. Unfortunately, it was before I really got into photography and I think I have maybe two (mediocre) pictures of the whole thing. But I still have the pictures in my head.
