Cold bitter truth please.

these 2 pics that I took with the 75-300mm USM III. let me know what is wrong with them, and what can be done form them to come out better. thank you. Also these have not been in photoshop yet.

I'm a beginner so take this with a grain of salt.

In the first picture, it should have been taken from a slightly different angle, maybe so you have more of his face. The main reason I say this is because of the hair on the right side of his face that looks like it's growing out of his mouth.

In the second picture it is a bit blurry-your shutter speed might not have been fast enough-it looks like you tried to slow it down to compensate for the lack of light. If you could find a way to stabilize the camera/reduce the shake it would have helped.

In regards to your Pics.... First one seems OOF, could have been composed higher in the frame to get rid of the dead space above the subject (which isn't doing anything for me) and more of the hedstock of the guitar and his shoulder. Plus, the white balance seems off. He looks orange.

Second one, for me, would have gone straight to the recycle bin.


On a different note, if you were there as a guest, I hope you thanked each and every Serviceman there. If you were there in Service.....
