Cold Bud

Not much to post of late.
Just been lookin at all of the great photos here.
Went out in the yard to try to get a winter shot.
This is a small bud on our lilac tree.

Hope to get some better winter photos of the great white north soon to share.

Thanks Littleman. I have been trying to use manual focus more often. This one came out very well. Having a tought time tho, I wear glasses and find it hard to set the diopter properly. I also find the focus assist is not the best :x

I see you list a FZ-20, I have the FZ-10.

I think it might of looked better portrait rather than landscape to follow the vertical line of the stem, not sure though.

Well, I quite like the horizontal picture, makes the freezing bud look even lonlier and colder - you'd want to hug this little bud!

Great DOF and well framed a little over to the left, avoiding my standard mistake

(well, 'standard' BEFORE I detected TPF, that is!

For the cost of a digital photo, I don't know why I don't flip my camera 90 degress and shoot one more. :?
Good point, creativity and composition are two of the things I must work on.
