College lens

I you have questions about a course or college the best people to ask would be those in charge of the course in question. We cannot hope to give you anything but our guesses at if you will need/require certain bits of equipment for a course.

Just to be safe get an 18-800mm f/2.8 ;-) If you have like... well... 30k.



Seriously... you will need DIFFERENT lenses for different situations. This forum is NOT a replacement for common sense or actual research.

most colleges want you to have a 50mm fixed focal length lens, especially if its like a 101 type class. but as stated before, might wanna talk to a teacher.

Most classes want you to have a 50mm lens. The one I took at my local community college wanted you to have a 50mm (this was for film) I used a 28-80 as well as another that you can see in my sig.

Photo classes will all be different tho...
