Hello all!
Just looking for some comments and criticism, as I feel like I never really get much feedback (good, bad, or otherwise), but would love to get some so I can see where I stand and what I might be able to do to improve.

I apologize, but I'm not quite sure how to post photos on this forum. The photo uploader won't work for me, and whenever I enter a URL to a photo (from 3 different websites), it says "invalid URL", so I'm just going to post links instead, but I'll give you a brief description first so they're not just blind links.

Critique/comment on as many or as few as you would like--I understand there are a lot here, and I don't expect you to view them all, so no worries <3

One of my cats I used to own:

In this next one (a mock bridal shoot), I also did all of the makeup and styling as well:

I GREATLY appreciate any and all comments and criticism received, as long as it's constructive. Thank you for your time! :)

Some of the images you link to appear a bit soft. Either you missed proper focus, or you moved or the subject moved. Looks more like missed focus though.

It seems you like to use your lenses at full aperture. This is not always the best option. The dof is so shallow it detracts from the image. There is nothing wrong with closing down a lens to a more appropriate aperture for each image.

edit: Big bold font is tantamount to screaming.

I appreciate the suggestions, but not a single positive thing to say? ...are they really bad enough to where they don't warrant a single piece of positive feedback..? I mean, if so, definitely let me know, but otherwise, it's not all that constructive. Just destructive.

I do not agree with that...that's very 1999...

Anyway, to the OP: ON TPF, if you post links to images, you will find that the majority of users here will simply NOT click on them, and they sure as heck will NOT provide you with C&C. It seems that the majority of windows users will just simply N_O_T click on a L_I_N_K, for fear of malware, viruses, or whatever. That is simply the way it is here. Not trying to blame you or anything, not trying to be mean, just telling you why you have rec'd zero love, and a bad welcome...

most people don't say anything good until there is nothing bad...

constructive criticism has nothing to do with what's good in the image, but instead it is supposed to point out the flaws, and tell you how to fix them

Also, if you want more in-depth feedback on an image, you are more likely to get it if you post only one (or maybe to similar) photo to a thread. (we used to have a rule about that...back in the old days).
Also, let us in on what you were doing to get the shot. What settings did you use and why? What was your goal for the shot?

The more effort you put into getting a critique, the more effort people will put into giving you one.

in this one the eyes are waay too intense, and therefore make it completely unrealistic

in this one the highlights are blown out, and the cat's head was mostly cut off where it shouldn't have been

in this one you completely missed the focus

in this one the highlights are once again blown out

in this one the expresion, angle, and color just make it unflattering to the baby plus the focus should have been on the eyes

this is the only one that has anything going for it

but it it would have been much better if the background were properly exposed, or just visible at all

it's very obvious that this was a bright light shining in a dark area, and it makes it feel artificial

but other than that, exposure, focus, and color seem perfect
