Compact DigiCam

I am highly interested in getting a digicam where I can take anywhere, and hope it can also produce nice prints. I recently printed pics from a Sony 5MP camera, and I thought they looked great. But just the other day, I was told that Sony 'sucks'(not so much the quality, but rather the colors), and that Canon and Nikon are the best for prints. Any thoughts?

I am looking for a +5MP, compact, which also makes nice prints. Any feedback would be great! If you have prints from a digicam that looked good, let me know of the camera used. Thank you!

Welcome to the forum.

Check out www.dpreview.com they have complete specs and usually sample images for just about every digital camera.

Canon & Nikon make very good cameras, can't go wrong with either company. You can get good prints with a Sony...it may be as simple as adjusting the color settings in the camera...or making some easy tweaks with software before you print.
