Cousins Swimming

Today was my first day playing with my DSLR! (Nikon D5100) and my cousins were being adorable, so... here they are! I want advice on what to do next-time and how the editing is? Too bright?
Again, this was my first day but I LOVE my new camera. SO much easier to play with, but I'm only hoping to improve! Thank you.

what do you think is good or bad about the composition color sharpness?

I wish that #1 was sharper, but I couldn't on the online software I used. Also, I don't like that the girls head is cropped in #2 but that's how I took the photo. I WAS just trying to focus on the little girl, but still wish that the others' head wasn't cropped.

I want some other thoughts as well, though!
