Critic of my attempted brenzier method images please

Hmmm, don't really know what to say here. This doesn't look like a Brenizer. It looks like a poorly composed snapshot with a ton of empty space.

What were you trying to accomplish here? I don't understand your composition.

Technically it's "Brenizer"-ish, in that it's an apparently wide angle shot with shallow depth of field.

- The subject matter is not well selected to emphasize the shallow depth of field, since there's not enough detail in the out of focus areas to really blur out in an interesting way. I think you might not have used a lens with a sufficiently wide aperture here, to really throw out of focus stuff OUT of FOCUS.

- You can see where you stitched the frames together.

- The shot isn't very interesting to start with, you have the subject centered to no particular purpose, and the lighting is flat and uninteresting.

It seems like a good technical exercise, if this ugly gimmicky mess of a technique is something you want to pursue, though!

I think the method is fascinating when done well. But an 800x504 pixel rendering just KILLS it. Period.

This was my first attempt an honesty I am not sure I like it. Thanks for honest feedback. It's a breadth of fresh air.

I was just trying it. Not sure I like the results and seems a lot of post production work for one shot.

How many shots did you use here? Looks like you did use shallow enough depth of field to get optimal results. Its best when you shoot with a long focal length and use very shallow dof. Like a 135 at f2

Brenizer's seriously good with the right surroundings. You made a start! keep going with it!
You need to be placing your main subject in amongst more interesting things.
