I could care less if you're using a disposable, a Hasselblad, a Linhof, or a Nikon...you're WASTING 1/3 of the frame on many of your verticals of people.....just utter crap compositions, with 1/2 to even 1/2 of the frame empty and devoid of anything interesting. That's the way I would describe your single-person snapshots. Your multiple-image/reflection type photos are your strongest suit, by far. By far. A few of those are really quite interesting. Multiple points of view, in one piece of art....hmmm...there were some old dead dudes that explored that idea nearly a century ago...the idea's fallen out of favor, but you seem to appreciate that type of visual sensibility. I know a lot of younger people like the scattershot nature of wildly-fluctuating post processing, odd color casts, and marginally correct exposures rescued in post, but I think it looks sloppy and shows weakness of craft. You'll do okay I think on the artsy end of things. I think studying, and practicing, composition would really help you.

thanks derrel, maybe more studying could help me "understand" photography a bit better, but it wouldn't necessarily help me become a better artist. I try to keep quite a bit of negative space in vertical frames because I like capturing environment more than anything.. it's on purpose! but I enjoy the criticism no matter what

Focusing on only one subject should work on most photographs, so try to exclude distractions.

Ok, I'm just gonna be honest: when you start a post with "yo", I am instantly turned off. But ok, I gave it a looksee anyhow.

You asked for feedback, so I'm gonna give it to you: What have you been doing these four years? You have some random moments, of random stuff, at random times, about random things, and processed the photos in a random way. If that is what you are going for, you did well.

I'm just not seeing any heart and soul. I felt I was looking at a bunch of cell phone photos, that you put an app on. I didn't see a whole lot of effort. I could be wrong about the effort part, but it looks like that to me.

I guess I should also get a digital camera so I can take 200 photos to only use one of them... then edit them on my computer so they look like they have "heart and soul" I asked for criticism... not some sort of backhanded insult

I would just like a few criticisms and see what people who have no relationship or attachment would say about my photography. anyway... it would be cool for some random feedback and to get my work out their and noticed! any form of criticism is encouraged..
