anyone with a cat knows it's usually impossible to get them to do anything you WANT them to do, let alone pose for the camera. but I achieved the impossible! I was walking around the apartment, stalking the pets, trying out my SB-400 as a bounce flash and got this shot. I'm happy I finally got a decent pic of my cat. what do you think?



it's hard to tell by the image size, but that shot is really sharp. but somehow it all comes together to look soft enough for the portrait

Nice focus, DOF and good use of the bounce lighting. Was that with your 50mm?

I have a D40x on the way, I just got the shorter kit lens for starters. That 28-80 is impressive in that image. It sounds like a good everyday zoom length. ron
