Are you a fellow jew then?
I have to say I don't get this question. Why not ask instead: are you a fellow gay? or, are you a fellow Rom? Two of the groups that were on Hitler's list for extermination. Not to mention artists...
Or, if you were American, as some people on this forum thought (for a while anyway,) you could have asked: Are you a fellow indian/native american?
And, NO, I am not trying to put you down but you are young and don't seem to realize at all the political aspect of some of your threads. And, frankly, if you really have an interest in documentary photography, it starts with learning about the world. And I don't mean what is in the text books in school but the reality of it. Anything else is just propaganda.
You've never heard of the Holocaust? Or of Dachau, or of Auschwitz?
Considering how we teach history in the US, it would hardly be surprising if...
But this is a photo forum so let's talk photography. Considering I have never been to Auschwitz this photo means nothing to me. And unfortunately it does not tell me anything either.
Put yourself in my shoes and look at your image. What in there tells a story of murder and horror? All I see is a brick wall.
I, like Bram, was born catholic and although it was not the reason I left the church, the Vatican's dealing during WW2 would have done it too. But, as a former PJ, I have to say your image carries no story.
Taking a photo of a place of horror does not in itself say anything.
