Dark Moon Rising

It's that time of the year when brush fires in the valley become a problem, because of the high concentration of woods. Even though I'm retired from active calls I still get to listen in on the traffic. Tone out for a small brush fire not far from us last night. Went out to look around, glanced up and saw the full moon trying to shine through a layer of smoke just above tree level. Erie sight that I thought was kinda cool.

It was spooky the layer of smoke wasn't that thick, but it was drifting enmasse.

I am really torn on the two. The second though I added a filter post, is actually close in color to the actual scene, and seems to highlight the back lighting on the trees more. The first seems to be more dramatic and has garnered more interest on other social media.

@jcdeboever I didn't catch it till someone pointed it out to me this morning, guess it was a case of "can't see the forest for the trees". They commented on another site that I really didn't need a watermark, as my initial "W" was right there in the middle of the image. LOL
