I was thinking this and then I realized how well the light on the brow ridge compliments the light under the nose.. I think this works as-is.

I think the light on the forehead breaks the symmetry, and hence, the balance. But the mark in a shape of a third eye on the brow is so expressive to the idea of real people that I wanted to keep it. And the balance, as you said, isn't lost, just lest insinuated. Tks for your comment.
