My daughter was playing the piano today, and I thought I'd take a couple of shots. She was not expecting any pictures, and in the future I might suggest she 'tame' the wild hair that seemed to have cropped up!

Other than that minor issue, I think they came out pretty well. No flash, only natural light.

They all could use some sharpening. I fooled a bit with the first photo. Before and after...

Wow! Thanks, that looks great. I've not really done a lot of PP, but I'll have to take some time and try it. Thanks!

Where is the piano?

Agreed where's the piano? The context is just as important as the subject.

It was in front of her. I only mentioned it because she happened to be sitting at it long enough for me to take a few pictures of her. I'll include it next time.

I feel the first image is the strongest. One thing that's evident in all the photos is she is slouched. A quick arch of the lower back and a little more of a turn of the shoulders and you would be golden. Now go make her practice the piano and get that shot. :)

ETA: strike that. I was looking at the post on my phone. I think #2 is better but my comments still stand regarding the back and shoulders.

She's a very pretty young lady, very engaging and open friendly face. I think what has been described as camera shake might be a missed focus issue, especially in the first photo. Her near shoulder is much sharper than her face. Pay attention to your focus point. Focus on the near eye if you can and try and keep your aperture set as to give you sufficient depth of field. The exif is stripped from the picture so we can't see what your camera settings were.

This was all done in lightroom....

Did you drop the red hue and boost red saturation a bit? Lips look just a tad too strong, I might back off a bit. Otherwise your edit looks great.
