I have not posted any of my fossil pics on here because I know they have a limited interest but to test the water......

Comments welcome.

Genus Odontaspis (Sand Tiger Shark)

Eocene epoch (roughly 30 - 40 million years old)

What are the dimensions of the tooth...?

Suggestion. Crop closely to the artifact. Also place something in the frame to give reference to scale....a dime, bug....but something. Also check your contrasts to be sure the subject stands out a bit (and no I do not mean some 20 year olds idea of HDR lol)

I deliberately did not crop too close to give context to the pic. The geologists among you will have noticed limestone and hematite and the fact that the tooth is white (which is very unusual). All these things point to Qatar.

I have pics of teeth with measuring scales and they all look a bit sterile. Fine for recording purposes but they do not make pretty pictures.

On the HDRI thing here is another edit i was not too happy with it:

Personally I found the lack of scale to be interesting. Also we can get some kind of idea of the size from the scale of the sand, but it took me a few amusing moments to place the size.

I think the first one is better. the tone adds to the bleached out bone look. 2nd one is pushed too for me.

I like that second edit better, it's more pleasing to me. I feel like it makes that tooth pop a little more.

I took the pic onsite and the natural look would be bleached grey. God bless TONE MAPPING.
