33 inches may be kinda small for an umbrella, but don't think that you cant still produce good results with it.
This portrait was taken with the stand and umbrella I am donating.

Here's another. Propped a diffuser up on my dining room table and dining light and shot my speedlight through it

I would love to get this light stand and umbrella. I am currently going to college for photography and been learning to do portraits. Right now I have been using a tripod and a stofen diffuser on the flash to take pictures of people. Would be so much better if I had an actual stand a umbrella

I really was not expecting much interest in this, but I am glad to see some people interested in off camera flash.
been so busy between work and CCT certification this month that i haven't had much time to keep on top of the donations.
I will have the wife look over this thread and with any luck, I will announce the recipient sometime today.
if there's any stragglers that want to get in on this, now is the time.

First I want to thank you and your wife for your generosity. I love to shoot with my new Nikon SB-910, and 50 mm 1.8 prime. I have two grandkids that live nearby and I would love to shoot portraits bouncing the light. Right now I bounce it off the ceilings, but I think the umbrella would cut down on shadows and harshness of the light. My daughter can't afford to go to a professional photographer and I am living on disability, so it would be welcome in my home. My wife also doesn't work, and I have been thinking for some time about investing in a umbrella. I just haven't had the funds available. Heck, I had to charge the SB-910 and my wife is killing me for that one. Lol! I would appreciate it if I was chosen. I will make good use out of it, and will also send pictures for you and your wife to see as I use it more, if chosen. Thanks again no matter if you pick me or not. I appreciate your kindness to the whole community!

wow. mark it on your calender folks....
for the first time ever on one of our donations, me and the wife had differing opinions on who should get this.

so, without further adieu,
by unanimous decision of my wife,
the recipient of this donation is....

Whiskeyjack.

PM me your name and address and i will get it shipped out as soon as....well, ok...eventually.
i am on shift tomorrow, then back to Miami on Monday for a week.
I'll see what i can do.
