Envrironmental portraits at the shrine

Love these shots. Poses, exposures, outfits, composition, everythings was put together really well. I also like the dept of the photo. bravo

Very nicely done. About the only [very] minor point I can come up with is that they might have benefited slightly from a fill light high and right.

I prefer your positioning on the second one...brings out a good perspective on the structure. I would step back more and zoom in that way there is no view
of anything beyond the outside of the columns.

I actually prefer the angle if the first over the second.

If someone ever has trouble with repetition and leading lines, you can link to these shots. I think the second shot is the technically better one. There are black triangles by the man's neck in the first shot made by a doorway. This isn't really criticism, but just for discussion: It looks like he's sending lines from his head. There are no serious mergers in the second shot, so the lines seem to lead to the entire woman. I kinda like the deeper depth of field of the second shot as well. One small nitpick is the man's watch. I love the simplicity of texture and Japanese "natural" architecture, so the watch caught my eye a bit. I really like the subjects, location, and composition.

Having read that now I'm seeing lines coming out of his head! I hadn't noticed before. It's fine points of framing and composition that I need to consider in the future. Thanks for looking and commenting.
