Exactly how boring (etc.) are these two?

I like #1... but lose he vignette.

The background is more interesting than the foreground.

The second ... honestly, I would have deleted it.

I get the concept of the second, but don't like th very bright left edge. Try again with better lighting?

I have a vignetteless version of 1.

Its looking different because its hosted by photobucket. Buts its really the same, just minus the vignette. I promise.

2 is my hair, when it was wet, over my shoulder with my light in the background. I think the dots are dust?

I like #1, the range is great and the detail good. I find it interesting. #2 doesn't work at all for me.
