Exactly how boring (etc.) are these two?

I like #1. I wish the light sneaking in through the wood slats would have been more prominent, that I think would really make this one. Either way, it looks nice.

#2 is just bad.. can't tell what it is.

I think #1 is great as is....#2 does nothing for me, sorry.

I like #1 for a couple of reasons. First, it's the inside of the shed instead of another "old building" shot from the outside. And second, I've had sheds like that in my lifetime and it brings back memories. To make it a little more interesting, as stated before, more light coming through the cracks would be nice. Try it with different sun angle, or provide your own light from outside. When you get the light where and how you want it, kick up a LITTLE dust for the light to filter through.

I really agree with this assessment. I like the shed because I can kind of relate to it. The memories might not be so positive being that I was usually working for my Dad when I was in them but it still brings back memories haha. I think the crispness and the placement of the objects is great. I'm just a noob though.

How can something be creepy and boring at the same time?

#1 shows some nice texture, which I like personally--but it's a bit boring.

#2 is creeping people out so I'd call that a success.
