fallen Birds Nest

I would just like some general critique. I was walking in the vineyard and came upon the kids staring at this...so i took a quick shot.. what could I have done differently.. anything?

It is okay with regards to exposure and also aperture, I think (might have been nice to have ALL of the nest in focus, maybe) ... but personally I would have framed it so the nest were more to the left, it's hollow a bit more for us to look into it, if you see what I mean. But maybe I am only just as curious as your children were ?
