Falun Gong concert invitation

The Shen Yun show, allegedly sponsored by local groups of the overseas Chinese spiritual movement Falun Gong, was touring countries round the world.

Interesting.

In downtown Vancouver there is a HUGE (20 metres long) poster with a booth manned by a person reading scripture 24/7. The poster was put up by Falun Gong and it boasts some pretty gruesome photos; there have been a lot of requests to have it removed, but many people argue about their freedom of speech.

Thanks very much for your input, Harmony. The first time I heard about this concert it was from an article from New York Times, somewhat critical of the concert organizers who were not entirely forthright about the ultimate Falun Gong theme, if I recall correctly.

Apparently this show was indeed touring the world, by the way.
