Family fun

I was asked by some friends to take some family portraits for their Mom/Grandmother's birthday. I agreed but was freaking out inside because I haven't tried to light this many people at once before. I only have 1 speed light and I choose to bounce it from an umbrella to light them all.

We got some good ones, some serious ones and fun ones. This is one of my favorites and one that they choose to print and frame for her.

Nicely done Ron! Groups are always a challenge but this made it fun. Perhaps a touch hot (some of the faces look just a little 'flashed') but I can see why they liked it.

I like the fun, goofy stuff they're doing. Maybe a tad bit hot, maybe .3 to .4 EV hot on the two left-most girls in the front row (as seen on this monitor) but better a bit hot than too dark I think. You have ten people, all looking pretty good, or funny, so it's a success for sure.

I agree with these guys, mostly because they are smarter than me. But, I like it too!
