Fatherly Love

I find people to be the hardest thing to photograph, and it seems even harder to capture emotion when doing so. Any critiquing of this photo would be appreciated. Does it make you feel any emotion? Would it look better cleared up? I like the halo effect around the father, what do you think?

I like the image but don't care for the halo. I do like the high key B&W look. I don't think it would hold the same appeal for me in color.

I like the B&W, too, but I don't think the halo really adds anything. This kind of shot would be interesting taken more from the child's POV, also. Maybe getting a little lower when you're taking the shot.
