Hey to all ! I am interested in making short films and music videos for my youtube channel and i will be doing most of the directing and filming myself. Finding someone to do that cost so much money so i plan to buy the typhoon drone from best buy to do the angle shootings and wide open space shooting.
My friends are in cosplay and i want to shoot in the woods and make it enchanting. What are some good editing software for the laptop to add special affects and fictional characters to the video ? I have a green screen , i just don't know how to add monsters and fairies etc. to videos.

I don't do green screens, but I know CyberLink's PowerDirector 14 can do them.

do i need a special laptop or desktop? i have a toshiba right now

Yeah, Adobe's Premiere and After Effects are the go-to programs for video. Premiere is strictly video editing, and that's where you could do slow motion. After Effects is to add different effects to the video.
I've used Premiere before to cut/splice/render videos of my performance art and create promos for my galleries. It's rad. :)

If you are on a budget, Premiere Elements can handle green screen video. Premiere Elements is the consumer version. The pro version is Premiere Pro and that has a subscription plan. After Effects is for special effects and has a steep learning curve. Before buying any editors check out their promos and the system requirements.

Slow motion is more than just software. You need a camera with a high frame rate to pull it off well. Shooting at 30 fps won't give you much ability to slow it down much.
