Your last set already, Alex   Oh nooooooooooooooooo!

And here I am, only arriving at my first Lüneburg pics ... am I not picky enough with my photos???

But ... as Alex has so aptly pointed out ... Lüneburg is mostly red bricks. And when they are not red, then they got painted, but it is bricks and more bricks, many of which have been there for well over 300 or 400 years, so Ebay-products from back then must have been good quality ones!

Am Sande in Lüneburg (and the locals neither ran from me nor came towards me)

Industrie- und Handelskammer, Am Sande (which means this is - or once was? - the building of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce)

Sky all puzzled over the riddle of how to drink beer from those upright tables, and Hertz pretending not to be puzzled, but he was, too!!!

Bricks, windows and flowers

One person posing for me, two persons lagging behind in the busy streets of Lüneburg ... and this while everyone was hungry and we were going to get ourselves some lunch! (Only Alex had bought himself some chips before lunch PLUS had lunch, of course. And he wonders where his three additional kilos come from??? )

Heike in conversation with Jeff (over the menu? Or over other things? We may never know...)

"Mmmm, I may just have had those chips, but there's so many more yummies in this menu, now what am I going to eat NOW???"

Just looking good

Katharina again - who recommended we go have lunch in this very restaurant. And it was good!

More bricks, windows, doors, beauties ... in a word: more Lüneburg.

Even Johann Sebastian Bach's feet may well have stepped on these steps before, since he sang in the choir and learned to play the organ for two years in Michaelis-Church in Lüneburg, to where these steps lead us.

At night, Michaelis-Church sometimes looks like this, but we did not see it, only did I find a poster with this photo and "snatched" it.

And this picturesque little street was not too far away from Michaeliskirche ... we wondered why there was that red light on on one of the doors

We won't mention the ladies and their choice of words as one of them directed herself to Christiane...

I always love meet-up photos! Great stuff

LaFoto - that's a beautiful place where you live.

I will be in Germany myself this weekend, can't wait.

One question to all: Christiane just phoned me to say she cannot view my photos in posts 169 and 170 (I think) on Page 4. Do any of you also get the "Photos are currently not available" thingy? I had problems with those photos, but I keep seeing them. So now I wonder - are my Hamburg-from-the-boat photos "unavailable to all of you, too?

OK, here we go with my last batch of 20 images! This is now from Friday, the final eat-way-too-much day! I did not take many images on Thursday (Canoe trip and mill since I arrived at the mill half-blind!)

114: Let us start with a view from our bathroom window (take non Saturday morning though, but it looked pretty much the same every day)!
TPF_3378.jpg

115: After a late start, some shooting with G's studio lights and breakfast, we went for an afternoon at an ice cream place, where I actually had two portions :D (call it wide angle).
TPF_3245.jpg

116: We hardly had any time to digest though, since almost immediately after the great ice cream feast, we settled in for our farewell dinner.
TPF_3253.jpg

117: The menu was complicated for most of us, as it was German and Italian only.
TPF_3255.jpg

118: Florian waiting for his food.
TPF_3257.jpg

119: ... he was not the only one waiting ... and waiting.
TPF_3258.jpg

120: But once the drinks arrived, even Daan got happy again.
TPF_3259.jpg

121: Who said I was the only one in love with my camera?
TPF_3260.jpg

122: Then the food arrived, and suddenly cameras were forgotten for a while.
TPF_3265.jpg

123: Yum!
TPF_3266.jpg

124: Corinna and Sabine.
TPF_3282.jpg

125: Again ... Sorry Corinna, I always got your daughter in focus!
TPF_3286.jpg

126: The whole evening Daan had his typical problem .. should he take a photo? or drink? In any case this photo demonstrates why most photographers have two hands, one for the camera, the other one for the beer.
TPF_3290.jpg

127: Anty, however, was more concentrated on her drinks ;)
TPF_3294.jpg

128: Not sure if Jeff is trying to remember how many drinks he had ... or just how many times he dropped his lens cap.
TPF_3303.jpg

129: If humans were made to take pictures, they would not have been given noses.
TPF_3307.jpg

130: How did I get in there??
TPF_3314.jpg

131: Colin had one too many, and vomited right into the ashtray. This little bear really grew up on this meet-up!!
TPF_3320.jpg

132: Jeff thinks this portrait of him is not "downright awful", but more or less "tolerateable".
TPF_3279.jpg

133: Daan got stuck in some really old movie here... do not remember the title. Casablanca? No, it must have been that other one.
TPF_3315.jpg

That is it folks! No more from me!
