Daan has zoned himself out a little (while waiting for the guided tour through Rathaus to start - and to book a guided tour is the ONLY way to get in there, and since I'd never been, I had thought that the meet-up might be my big chance...

)
Jeff, also waiting
The guide gave a lot of historical detail, both in German AND in English, but the TPF crowd was more fascinated by other things, such as those neatly arranged coffee cups (for a reception to begin shortly after our group would have left), and the precisely placed spoon on each saucer!
Well, I had a little play with the mirror behind the cups...
... or with other mirrors, for that matter.
Other TPF group members were interested in other things (and thus produced wonderful photos, much more inspired than mine could ever be!)
And while some suffered through all the explanations and historical facts...
...others ventured into "forbidden territory" (!!!) in order to further their photographic results to take home with (and hopefully share here!).
(Boy, has the quality of the pics deteriorated through the upload into Flickr ... :shock: )
One last group photo taken by Christiane (and we doenoe where doenoe had gone to :scratch: ???) and the group was (almost) free for the rest of the day (after lunch in Ratskeller, the vaults underneath the Rathaus).
(And believe me: this photo's a lot sharper when viewed on my computer directly than shows here, too, I am actually quite a bit upset over the fact that they show so badly.)
