First female portrait in a while - C+C

[Ballistics]

I did this shoot today, and am waiting for the model to get back to me with the shots she liked, so in the meantime I gave the first shot of the shoot a quick and dirty edit.

How do you guys feel about this one? I'm on the fence here.

I'm no expert so take this for what it is. I sorta like the colored background and the lighting but is she ready to smirk?
Looks like a single light on her and another for the background. Good but not great...

Everything but the expression is great. But honestly that is the hardest part of any portrait.

I can't see all her hair. A lot of black on black.

I tend to allow things like hair and clothing slip into the darkness given the nature of the image. I'm not really one for accent lights in pictures like these.

Later on during the shoot, I did use a kicker, but I really like how things fade into darkness in 1 light portraits.

I don't get serious or naughty at all, to me..it seems like she is holding in a laugh, like when you're in school or a work meeting and someone farts.

I think it came out great. The only thing that I probably would've changed is to either cover up the more exposed breast or expose the other a little more.

Like I said though it came out great, and you do some good work!
