Hey all,

I've recently done a photo shoot with a friend of mine for her grad. This is the first time I've done this sort of one on one photo shoot and I'm wondering what you all think. Below is a selection of my favourites. If it's not obvious, the apple is because she did an education degree.

The backgrounds I used were bedsheets which admittedly could have used a few minutes in the dryer before using them. I burned & dodged them accordingly. I tried to time the shoot such that we'd be outside in the golden hour. All edits are done with aperture and fine touchups with photoshop. All critiques welcome.

Way too many images for which to provide detailed critique (Four max pls). General thoughts: For the most part, they're a nice set. A couple of common issues I see are lack of attention to the background (2, 5, 11), and a need for better supplemental/fill light (16, 17, 19, 22), and a propensity for amputated body parts (10, 11, 12). For your first attempt, I think you've done quite well. Spend some time improving your lighting skills and your next will be even better.

Just my $00.02 worth - your mileage may vary.

The first two fit the theme best. After that I don't think I would have taken her outside in her gown. Maybe a change of clothes into a college sweatshirt that reads "Alumni" would have been better.

Hi there, lately I was out from the forum because busy with my a new release of my website, now is fine, I guess I'm back.

Nice job, many of them are interesting... someone unusual.... she should be happy !

Keep going....

looks like you could use some fill light in these
