First 'Model' Shoot

Thanks for the advice. Do you happen to know which ones are good for Nikons?

I was in the hospital waiting on news of my Father in Law when I was messing with my CPL (Circular Polarizing Filter). Both shots were taken from the same point, one with the CPL properly adjusted the other with it not.

Not turned properly:

There are many brands. What lens do you have? If you have a really nice lens, don't get a cheap filter. Lenses with great glass deserve quality filters. If you are using an inexpensive kit lens, using a midgrade filter will not be an issue.

The modern cars in the pictures blow it for me.

And the nice thing is as you rotate the filter you can remove as little or as much (up to the maximum which will not always completely remove the reflections) as you want to. In your photos the reflections add to the photo. However, you can slowly turn the filter until the reflections are at an acceptable level.

vtf-- i know, sorry! everything is still trial & error for me at this point :)

I dont know if I want to click on that link?

I clicked it. But I am crazy like that. It was just some Japanese writing. Not sure what he was trying to link. lol

Ok, I got curious... I went back and clicked on the links on that page... Brave or stupid of me? Not sure. I just trust ESET... Anyway, it is a bunch of hot Asian girls in some cute poses. Some of them are very nice looking. I got no warnings.

lol. I dont have a need for hot asian girls

where do you have the originals posted? this site resizes everything and is making these shots look bad. i like what you have going but would like to see the from a site that wont alter them like here.

The site is one of Japan's best-known photo sites, Impress Watch, a serious site devoted to cameras and lenses. Each new camera model gets a "Photogenic Weekend" test by a respected Japanese fashion shooter, who takes the new camera and a few lenses and shoots a single-girl model portfolio for the Impress web site. When I posted the link, it was in ENGLISH, but within seconds, it was converted to Japanese characters. The page I linked to has just a few of the Photogenic Weekend tests; they have probably 150 of them archived. It's tricky to navigate, since the site is in Japanese...

I used Chrome to translate. Very interesting site, tho Google translator isn't perfect. The pics need no translation, however. Thanks for the link, Derrel.
