First pic involving water

Well this is my first pic taken of a wet flower...I wanted the water on the flower to be noticeble....Im still learning but I think it cam out okay...I just adjusted the curves and contrast on PS.....How could I improve this picture for further practice...

The background is rather distracting, and I'd like to see a closer shot of the subject. Exposure and PP, however, are very nice.

The green section in the upper right hand corner and the stray blade of grass cutting through "DPhotogaphy" are distracting.

The background is inherantly "noisy" which makes it distracting. Desaturating it did help somewhat though. Other than that, the focus is nice.

This would pop at me a lot more if it were just the bud with a nice blurred background. An extra sharp shot of the bud with dew on it would look great.

i just dont see much to the picture, the composition is a bit off for me. like the background planter ends and you can see grass and the big leaf coming up next to the flower takes away a lil.
