can you not do that with RAW though? get multiple exposures? i am under the impression that you could. im not calling anyone out im just wanting answers, dammit! :lol:

You can change the ECV for your raw images and get similar results. The difference is in the amount of noise and details in the shadows and the amount of details in the highlights. If you're trying to make an HDR image from a single exposure, you're better off just dodging and burning.
 
whats your email. i have a raw photo that i dont know how to process properly. can you do something for me and figure out if its gunna turn out well or not. ill be forever in your debt :)

background sky is desaturated a bit too much imo
 
ya, i just shot raw just to see what it was about. didnt really do it for me either.
 
granted im a newb but that photo is way too overproduced for my taste.... just cause you can make a photo pop like that doesnt mean you have to... and what the heck kind of race is that? middle school cross country in newmexico?
 
Now, I realize the race is probably in the middle east somewhere..... everyone is probably cheering yalla!!! Yalla!!! yalla!!!
